Alice Cooper’s Bob Ezrin-Produced 2023 Album on Double LP with Bonus DVD Video!

After thousands of gigs and well over a million miles traveled, Alice Cooper turns it up a notch on his new album, “Road.”

The 22nd solo album of the shock rocker was produced by his longtime companion Bob Ezrin, who has also worked with Pink Floyd and Kiss. And Alice Cooper also relies on continuity with his band. How happy he is in this constellation, the 75-year-old has recently emphasized several times. “We wrote the songs and then recorded them live in the studio, almost completely, without changing anything afterwards. 95% of the music on the album is live in the studio. That was my intention, because I want to show off how good the band is.”

“Road” comes full circle with its determination and plenty of gusto, embodying Alice Cooper’s old-school spirit. It’s everything you’d hope for and so much more. Hard rock at its best, played by true masters of their craft.

In terms of content, “Road” is a concept album about being on the road and the stories that a life on the road writes. “It’s about the things that happen on the road,” says Alice Cooper. “There’s a lot of humor in this album, also some heartbreak songs, but overall very guitar-heavy. Because that’s what it’s all about for me. I love writing the songs with Bob and the band, and it’s clear to everyone that the guitar will always be the main instrument. There will never be anything else with us.”

So it fits like a glove that the maestro has invited four guitarists as guests for “Road“: Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), Wayne Kramer (MC5), Keith Nelson (Buckcherry) and Kane Roberts.

In keeping with the theme of the album, the bonus DVD contains the complete live show of Alice Cooper’s show at Hellfest 2022 – including all the hits and rarely played gems.
