At just 14 years old, the pop singer from Los Angeles released her first single “Ocean Eyes” on her own and showed right from the start how much power she has: the video clip of the single has already been clicked almost two million times, and on Hypemachine it made it to No. 1 of the most popular tracks three times.
After such a good start, it’s hardly surprising that the indie pop anthem “Bellyache” by the now 15-year-old was also very well received and remixed by Blackbear and Marian Hill, among others. In March, the newcomer had her biggest performance to date at SXSW 2017. Her first EP “Don’t smile at me”, which contains a total of 7 tracks in addition to “Ocean Eyes” and the hip hop-inspired “COPYCAT”, is available now.
