Dave Gahan & Soulsavers release their new album „Imposter„.
„Imposter„, once again produced by Rich Machin and Dave Gahan, is the collaborators’ third album, following their critically acclaimed 2015 album „Angels & Ghosts” and their 2012 debut „The Light the Dead See„.

Multi-platinum selling and ‘Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’ artist and songwriter Dave Gahan will release a new album with his longtime musical partner Soulsavers (Rich Machin) on November 12, 2021. Titled „Imposter„, the two take listeners on a very personal journey. The twelve carefully selected and reinterpreted songs span various genres and time periods, including pieces by Neil Young, Bob Dylan, PJ Harvey, Charlie Chaplin, Cat Power and Mark Lanegan, to name a few.
However, it would be misguided to call „Imposter” a covers album. Rather, it is a representation of songs that Dave Gahan & Soulsavers have listened to, studied, absorbed and brought to new life. All of the songs have deep meaning to Dave, making „Imposter” a reflection of his life – a story told by others, but in his own distinctive voice.

„When I hear other people’s voices and songs – and especially the way they sing them and interpret the words – I feel at home,” Dave Gahan confesses. „I identify with that. I take more comfort in that than anything else. There’s not a single artist on the record that didn’t touch me.” He adds, „I know we’ve created something special, and I hope other people feel that and it takes them on a little journey – especially people who love music and have for years.”
