Dr. John is not only celebrating his 70th birthday in 2010, but also his 50th anniversary on stage! With „Tribal„, the musician from New Orleans releases a grandiose brand new studio album. His love for R&B, Psychedelic Rock, New Orleans Jazz, Voodoo Sounds, Rock’n’Roll and Soul can’t be ignored on „Tribal„. With „Gris Gris” Dr. John already celebrated great successes in 1968.

He worked with greats like Frank Zappa, the Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke, Eric Clapton, Willy De Ville and Phil Spector, his picturesque and colorful stage performances catapulted him to the forefront of psychedelic rock. „Gris Gris”, „The Sun, Moon And Herbs” or „In The Right Place” are all classics of the genre today. In 2007, Dr. John was inducted into the Blues Hall Of Fame.
