Blatimore 2020 synth-pop indie rockers Future Islands release „As Long As You Are,” their new sixth record, the follow-up to 2017’s „The Far Field.”
And with it they celebrate two premieres at once: „As Long As You Are” is both the first album with touring drummer Mike Lowry as a full band member and the first that Future Islands produced themselves.
They were supported by sound engineer Steve Wright, in whose Wrightway Studios in Baltimore they also recorded the new songs.
Eleven songs were recorded in total, including the two singles „For Sure” and „Thrill”.
Future Islands themselves call „As Long As You Are” a homecoming record with songs about the present, the past and the future.
