Eleven number one albums in a row – only the Swiss hard rock legends Gottthard can do that.
In 2020, the band sends its next front-runner candidate into the race: „#13” is the name of their – surprise – 13th studio album, the successor to 2017’s „Silver”  and 2018’s concert album „Defrosted 2 (Live)„, respectively.
The record has it all: Gotthard recorded 13 tracks for the record, at Yellow House Studio in Lugano. This time Alex Motta from the Swiss classic rock band Coreleoni sat on the drumset as a replacement for the pausing Hena Habegger.
The production of „#13” took US producer Paul Lani, the co-production again guitarist Leo Leoni.
The result is an official rock opus that once again shows the enormous bandwidth of the band: Rousing hard rock anthems, groovy blues rock, ballads, psychedelic rock with a retro vibe or Abba covers – Gotthard can do it all.
They provided the first proof of this with the single „Missteria”, which was created together with Status Quo legend Francis Rossi.
