The film premiered at the Berlinale in 2012 and was the surprise hit of the festival with five completely sold out screenings. From spiegel. de to the Guardian to Ha’aretz, the film received unanimously positive reviews. And that was just the beginning.
The film already enjoys cult status, which is partly due to the fact that it was partly financed via crowd funding on the Internet and has attracted a sizeable Internet fan community over the years of its making.
