2019 For The First Time On Vinyl!

The British progressive rock musician is best known for his massively influential work Tubular Bells. Of course, Mike Oldfield’s creative output didn’t stop there. His follow-up album Hergest Ridge was released in September 1974 and entered the album charts at #1, only to be supplanted by Tubular Bells. It was followed by Ommadawn in November 1975 and Incantations in November 1978

Since then he has continued to record and release music in a variety of forms and genres – film soundtracks, ambient / new-age, classical, instrumental, pop, even Christmas records, but the fact is that he will always be best known for Tubular Bells (and who wouldn’t want that?)

His most famous single will be „Moonlight Shadow” from 1983, recorded with Maggie Reilly as the singer. In Austria and Switzerland the song reached number 1 in the charts, in Germany it was „only” enough for number 2.
