The 2023 album from Oasis mastermind Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds. From the meaningful album title to the cover and the lyrics themselves – with „Council Skies” Noel Gallagher reflects on his past and pays homage to his roots in Manchester. Noel Gallagher’s fourth solo album is his most varied and successful solo album to date, marked by self-confidence, a willingness to take risks, assured creative freedom and great emotional depth.

„Council Skies” was recorded at Noel’s own Lone Star Sound Recording Studios in London, with the album’s lushly orchestrated strings recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The album was produced by Noel along with his longtime collaborator Paul „Strangeboy” Stacey. Johnny Marr is also involved in three tracks, including the single „Pretty Boy.” The track „Council Skies” comes from a book by Noel’s well-known Nordic illustrator and friend, artist Pete McKee. It deals with themes of youthful longing and unbridled ambition.

NGHFB have sold over 1.6 million copies in the UK, Noel has released 12 number one albums to date and has a huge global online audience with a total of 1 billion streams across all platforms and 5 million fans on his social networks.
