„Pick Me Up Off The Floor” is the seventh long player of the US soul and jazz singer, pianist and songwriter.
The project grew out of their acclaimed singles run over the past two years. The previously unreleased songs unexpectedly grew into an entire album.
Eleven songs await on „Pick Me Up Off The Floor,” including the first single „I’m Alive” together with Wilco boss Jeff Tweedy and his son, drummer Spencer Tweedy.
And it once again showcases Jones’ distinctive decelerating piano sound and the deep beauty of her voice.
The album also features contributions from drummers Brian Blade, Nate Smith, Dan Rieser and Josh Adams, bassists Christopher Thomas, John Patitucci, Jesse Murphy and Josh Lattanzi, keyboardist Pete Remm, violinist Mazz Swift, violist Ayane Kozasa, cellist Paul Wiancko, backup singers Ruby Amanfu and Sam Ashworth, percussionist Mauro Refosco, saxophonist Leon Michels and trumpeter Dave Guy, and pedal steel guitarist Dan Lead.
