Pierre Michael “Peter” Schilling is one of the great stars of the New German Wave. in 2021, the German singer reissues his debut “Fehler im System” as an LP on Green Vinyl.
Schilling produced and released the album in 1982. The first single, “Major Tom (völlig losgelöst),” reached number one in the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland that same year and remains one of the most successful hits of the Neue Deutsche Welle to this day. Single number two, “Die Wüste lebt,” reached number seven in the summer of 1983. The album “Fehler im System” reached number two in Germany and number four in Austria.
