Germany’s best prog and artrock band with a new masterpiece!

After eight studio, one best-of and six live albums, the spaceship RPWL penetrates the infinite expanses of space and when we write the year 2019, more precisely the star date March 22, 2019, the disc has landed. With their four-man crew, they have devoted themselves entirely to science fiction on the new long player.

Singer and keyboardist Yogi Lang: „This time it has not become a concept album in the real sense. However, it is seven short stories on the subject of science fiction. For us, however, this was not only thematically very interesting, but also musically an incredible playground, which literally invited us to experiment with sounds and all imaginable musical stylistic means.” In general, RPWL’s music is probably best categorized as art and progressive rock, yet it is always song-oriented. And Yogi Lang’s soft voice, somewhat reminiscent of David Gilmour, holds it all together.

Were the last two albums „Wanted” and „Beyond Man In Time” concept albums, this time it is not a coherent story – however, there is science fiction as a common denominator. Of course, the comparison with Pink Floyd is always in the room, but the band itself fueled it, among other things, by the release and performance of the first conceptual live show „Pink Floyd’s ‘The Man And The Journey'”. And being compared to Pink Floyd’s early work is certainly not the worst reference, even and especially when Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd, David Gilmour) himself does the honors on bass during a song.
