„Back!„, the second full-length album of the West German band Silent Circle has been released in 1994. The impetus for the recording and release of the new album two aspects. Firstly, the official greatest hits collection „Best Of Silent Circle Volume II„, that was released a year earlier, had an excellent sales and revealed that the group still have a lot of devoted fans. Secondly, the global success of DJ BoBo (Axel Breitung has been involved with the production of his debut album „Dance With Me„) pointed a new musical direction for the band. Realizing that BoBo’s sound was hot, Breitung and Tychsen are teamed up to reach the top of the charts once again.
The new album featured a mix of modern Eurodance sound and unique melodic style that always was a trademark of Silent Circle’s songs. „2Night” become the debut single from new album and everybody have noticed that they’ve changed, and all changes were up-to-date. Trio’s lineup came back to classic 80s „Tychsen-Breitung-Behrens”, fans were happy see Axel Breitung is behind the keyboards again in the promotional video. The song topped the charts and become their biggest hit in the 90s. Following the debut single and the release of the album, the second single „Every Move Every Touch” was released on vinyl and CD, and a special remixed edition with additional dance and extended versions was released.
„Back” was incredibly popular in Eastern Europe, it topped the album charts, as well as in Russia and ex-USSR countries. In 1997, an album has been repackaged with remixes and a new artwork and re-released in Germany as „Back II„.
