They are friends, colleagues and both icons of the music world: Sting and Shaggy. in 2018, the British rock and pop singer and the Jamaican reggae artist present their first joint album, „44/876.”
They recorded twelve songs for it. The result is an album clearly influenced by reggae and Caribbean music, which is about love, hope and freedom and always exudes good mood and sunshine vibes. Shaggy and Sting revealed exactly how it sounds in February with the first single „Don’t Make Me Wait”.
In addition to the two main contributors, a number of high-profile guests also worked on „44/876,” including Robbie Shakespeare of Sly & Robbie, dancehall star Aidonia, Branford Marsalis, Morgan Heritage, DJ Agent Sasco and Sting’s longtime musical partner, guitarist Dominic Miller.
