The Dream of the Blue Turtles represented Sting’s first solo album. released in 1985, it immediately conquered the top ten charts, both in the U.S. and in Germany. The reissued LP shines in top quality on 180-gram vinyl. After parting ways with The Police, Sting became much involved with jazz. Numerous hits on this album were created in collaboration with renowned jazz musicians, such as saxophonist Banford Marsalis. Thus, this album marked a turning point in Sting’s artistic output.
