Ultravox were one of the pioneers of early 1980s electronic music, with ground breaking singles and pop videos such as „Vienna”, „The Thin Wall”, „The Voice” and „Dancing With Tears In My Eyes”. They released five Top 10 albums before taking an extended break. They reformed in 2009, later releasing their most recent LP „Brilliant” in 2012.
Released in 1984 and produced by the band themselves, „Lament” was their fourth album with Midge Ure on vocals and went on to sell over 100,000 copies in the UK. It included three Top 10 singles: „One Small Day”, „Lament” and the worldwide hit „Dancing with Tears in My Eyes”.
This new vinyl was cut from the original ¼” production masters by Alchemy Mastering. Pressing the sleeve to replicate the original 1984 design by Peter Saville using a Black Carabic 350gsm card with a spot gloss varnish.
