On August 15, Quentin Tarantino’s new film will be released in German cinemas – “Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood” takes the viewer to Hollywood in 1969, a time of radical and fundamental changes in the U.S. film business.

The ninth work by the legendary U.S. director and screenwriter tells the story of TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), who find it increasingly difficult to find their way in this world. In addition to DiCaprio and Pitt, the film’s spectacular ensemble cast includes Margot Robbie (as Sharon Tate), Damian Lewis (as Steve McQueen), Bruce Dern, Luke Perry, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, Tim Roth and Kurt Russell.

Among the stars of the film – as you would expect from Tarantino – is a soundtrack put together with great attention to detail, providing an appropriate musical accompaniment to his homage to the last glorious days of Hollywood’s Golden Era. Included are songs by such well-known names as Deep Purple, Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Diamond and Paul Revere & The Raiders, but also jingles and spots, as known from Quentin Tarantino’s soundtracks.
