„Victorious” is an electrifying proof of Andrew Stockdale’s enormous composition and songwriting talent. All songs were written by the bandleader, who even did the drums for the demos.

However, he got support for the recording. Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, Guns N’ Roses) and Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) play the drums on „Victorious„. Vocals, guitars and bass were taken over by Stockdale himself, Ian Peres the keyboard recordings. Meanwhile, behind the mixing desk sat none other than Brendan O’Brien, who had already worked for rock legends such as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Pearl Jam and AC/DC.

The result is ten new songs in the best Wolfmother style: galloping drums, big riffs and Stockdale’s concise voice. With „Victorious” the Australian band even returns a bit to their original sound. In any case, on album number four they produce the same creativity that was already audible on their self-titled debut in 2005.

The first proof of this was given on November 19, 2015 when the title track of the album „Victorious” was released.
