A divine album from Dead Can Dance

Dead Can Dance have always been fascinated by the traditions of European peoples, both religious or spiritual and musical. This is already shown by their impressive discography.

This time the band around Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry found the inspiration for their new, meanwhile ninth studio album in the Greek world of gods. Here is „Dionysus.”

Their new longplayer is a concept album, consisting of two acts and seven elements. In it, they deal with the Dionysus myth, the story of the god of wine, joy and ecstasy, both in terms of content and music.

And so Dead Can Dance make traditional folk influences audible on „Dionysus” as usual.
