Originally released on RCA Neon in 1971, this Coventry, UK hard progressive group were discovered by the manager of Black Sabbath. This is an awesome heavy keyboard driven album of extensive jams.
If you talk about prog rock albums with a high collector’s value, then the eponymous album of „Indian Summer” is one of the most sought after. Fans around the world have been searching for a long time to find a rare copy of their only vinyl record, first released in 1971.
This Coventry based band around Bob Jackson who with his emotional vocals and soulful Hammond organ sound was supported in his line up by Colin Williams (guitar), Malcolm Harker (bass) and Paul Hooper (drums). Together they created 8 Songs, including the roaring „God Is The Dog” and other song highlights such as „Emotions of Men”, „Black Sunshine” and „From The Film Of The Same Name”.
Unfortunately this band existed only a very short time, but here is the Proof that it deserves a longer attention and every prog collector should have this album in his closet.
A good example of hard-prog Brit rock.
