Lindemann, the second: Under this name, „F & M” is the second album of this German-Swedish co-op. Responsible for it are namesake and Rammstein singer Till Lindemann and multi-instrumentalist Peter Tägtgren, mastermind of legendary Swedish metal bands like Pain and Hypocrisy. In this renewed collaboration, the duo treads some unusual and sometimes unexpected paths.
While the debut „Skills In Pills„, which went gold in this country four years ago, still featured English lyrics, the motto now is: German lyrics, wonderfully playful and staged in familiar intensity by Till Lindemann with his unmistakable voice.
The starting point for these new Lindemann songs was a collaboration between Till Lindemann and Hamburg’s Thalia Theater as part of a modern adaptation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale „Hansel & Gretel”, which addresses themes such as fear, hope, poverty, abundance, cannibalism or death. A full five songs from this critically acclaimed play have been supplemented with six new compositions to form the band Lindemann’s impressive new studio work.
