The musical development of the band Queen from the debut to their third album Sheer Heart Attack is remarkable. Only 1.5 years lie between the releases, moreover, Brian May was temporarily absent due to an illness during the recording. And yet: Sheer Heart Attack is the album with which Queen found their own sound. The single Killer Queen, written by Freddy Mercury, became an enormous success. But the other three band members also appear here as songwriters and make the album an event with heavy guitars, poppy hooks and their theatrical style.
