We are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Red Hot Chili Peppers „Californication” with a limited edition 2LP reissue on red and ocean blue vinyl. The Grammy Award-winning album includes songs such as „Scar Tissue”, „Otherside” and „Californication”.

Californication is the Chili Peppers’ most commercially successful studio release with over 16 million copies sold worldwide and more than 5 million in the U.S. alone. As of 2002, the album had sold over 4 million copies in Europe. The album produced several hits including „Otherside,” „Californication,” and the Grammy®-winning „Scar Tissue.”

Following the quadruple-platinum smash 1991 release Blood Sugar Sex Magic, The Red Hot Chili Peppers revitalized and reunited for their first album in four years and perhaps their most anticipated album ever. Most importantly, Californication marked the homecoming of guitarist John Frusciante, a key ingredient in the group’s most successful albums. His return signaled the energized re-emergence of one of rock’s premier emotional, powerful and exciting bands.

One of the most successful acts in rock history, Red Hot Chili Peppers have sold more than 60 million albums, including five multi-platinum LPs, and won six Grammy® Awards, including „Best Rock Album” for Stadium Arcadium, „Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group” for „Dani California,” „Best Rock Song” for „Scar Tissue,” and „Best Hard Rock Performance with Vocal” for „Give It Away.” The band holds the record for the most No. 1 singles of all time at alternative radio, a total of 11, and a combined 81 weeks at No. 1.
