“Africa Speaks” is the name of the record, which he recorded with legendary producer Rick Rubin at his Shangri-La Studios in Malibu.

Carlos Santana was supported in the studio by an eight-piece band, including his wife Cindy Blackman Santana on drums. Concha Buika and Laura Mvula can be heard as guest singers.

The result is an exciting mix of rock, Latin and jazz with, as the album title already reveals, great influences of African music.
