„The Great Annihilator” was originally released in 1995, the remaster appears from the original recording tapes. This task was taken over with a lot of detail work by Doug Henderson, much to the satisfaction of Michael Gira, who describes the result as „a revelation of great sonic effect”. Whoever hears the majestic „I am the sun” in the new sound knows about the power of the recording.
