Dead Again (entertainingly stylized on its front cover as „DЭДD ДGДIИ”) is Type O Negative’s seventh studio album and, after a four-year hiatus between releases, the much-anticipated return to the bombastic sound for which the Brooklyn band is known.

With a playing time of 77:35 minutes, Dead Again delivers a musical journey through the darkest depths of the human condition. Love, loss, madness, ethics, chaos, your most secret dreams and worst nightmares: all combined in the Type O Negative formula created by self-taught professor of the chemistry of emotions, Peter Steele (vocals, bass). Recorded and produced by Steele and Josh Silver (keyboards), the sound of darkness is more than ever prophetic, stone-cold and screamingly real.

„The Great Monk” Grigori Rasputin graces the cover of the new Type O Negative album, a dark, mysterious and fascinatingly captivating figure in Russian history. So dangerous and inconvenient that the Russian nobility tried several times unsuccessfully to have him removed due to his influence on the last generation of the Tsar family. This mysterious and sinister figure is the incarnate equivalent of Type O Negative’s unique sound.

Rasputin once prophesied, „When the bells strike three times, they will announce that I have been killed…. Pray, tsar of Russia. Pray.” But with gold and platinum albums behind them, the bells certainly haven’t struck for Type O Negative…. Determined and emphatic, they bring news from a dark place….
