“Demons & Wizards” from 1972 took up exactly where the previous album “Look At Yourself” had left off and cemented the status of Uriah Heep and cemented Uriah Heep’s status as one of the best bands of the time.

Due to some personnel changes, the fourth album was the first to be recorded with the lineup that is is still considered the “classic lineup” today. With the new members Mark Clarke and Lee Kerslake Uriah Heep succeeded to managed to go one step further. Thanks to the singles “The Wizard” and “Easy Livin” a great commercial success. Although title and artwork suggest a clear turn to romanticizing medieval motives, the Motifs, Uriah Heep show themselves on “Demons & Wizards” musically in many places harder and more concise more concise than before.

As part of the “Art of the Album” series, a deluxe edition of Uriah Heep’s 1972 rock classic “Demons And Wizards” is released. The album was the hard rock legend’s fourth long player and ushered in the seminal band’s most commercially successful period.

The reissue includes an exclusive essay with informative interviews that illustrate the work’s music-historical context.
