New career-spanning retrospective on two 180-gram LPs, gatefold jacket
David Bowie’s career lasted more than 50 years, yet it came as a shock when he suddenly passed away in early 2016. The musician, singer and producer left the world an impressive body of work with 25 solo albums and many more live albums, compilations, soundtracks and guest appearances.
„Legacy (The Very Best Of David Bowie)” is the name of the new best-of sampler, which now takes another look at the biggest hits of his life – from classics to his last recordings.
Of course, the collection can not do without his greatest hits, including „Let’s Dance”, „Space Oddity”, „Starman”, „Ziggy Stardust” and many more. With „Lazarus”, a song from his last album „Blackstar” has also made it onto the compilation. Other highlights on „Legacy (The Very Best Of David Bowie)” include a new version of „Live On Mars?” mixed by producer Ken Scott. 20 songs have made it onto the album.
