The Kings Of Leon success story is truly unprecedented: after brothers Nathan, Caleb and Jared Followill, along with their cousin Matthew Followill, survived the insane (UK) hype surrounding their debut album ‘Youth & Young Manhood‘ in 2003 virtually unscathed, the quartet has managed over the years not only to retain the favor of music critics and in-crowd, but also to sustainably improve their chart performance with each album.
‘Only By The Night‘ is now the title of the fourth Kings Of Leon long player, recorded in collaboration with longtime producer Angelo Patraglia and Nashville-based producer/engineer Jacquire King (had already mixed ‘Aha Shake Heartbreak’). The first single from the new album, carries the thoroughly promising title ‘Sex On Fire’. Comment Caleb Followill: ‘In our music has always been a ‘sex element’. So I figured I’d put it all in one song this time, and then that theme would be checked off for the rest of the album.’
